UPDATE on prayer meeting

Changes to the Prayer Meeting:

It is such a privilege to regularly bring our prayers to our Father. It's staggering that the one who dwells in unapproachable light has deigned to welcome us into his presence to bring our requests to him. Thank you Jesus that you have made this possible by your blood!

Last month (August) we prayed concerning the conflict along the Cambodian/ Thai border.  Joy Scott works near this area and she asked us to pray for peace. We prayed for friends of the church, Andrew and Shona, who work along the border between Thailand and Myanmar, another conflict zone.  We also prayed for old friends of many of us, Peter and Barbie Reynolds who have been held prisoner by the Taliban in Afghanistan; the latest reports suggest that their conditions have improved over the last month. (Although this report recently on the BBC indicates that things are of course difficult for them.)

This month (September) we prayed for our children. Discoverers, those children moving from primary school into high school, sent through a list of prayer requests of the things that matter to them. It's our privilege to pray for them, other children, their teachers, workers in the children's ministry, and parents.

Starting from Monday 6th October, there will be fortnightly prayer meetings. We'll also change the start time to 7.30pm.

Future prayer meeting dates are 6th October, 20th October, 3rd November, 17th November, 1st December, 15th December. After the Christmas holidays, we'll recommence the two week cycle on 5th January. (Don’t worry, the dates will all be on the calendar!)
