For Those Afraid to Die

Jan 26, 2020    Lewis Roderick

We’re uncomfortable with death. That’s for sure. Maybe it’s because we’ve experienced loss. Maybe it’s because we’ve suddenly felt forced to consider our own mortality. Maybe it’s because we’re scared.

So we don’t talk about it.

In this message from Deuteronomy 34, we see death through a gospel lens. It’s the story of the true Prophet-King who climbed a mountain to die alone. And in so doing, he promises us we needn’t be afraid to die.

Early in the message, Lewis read an excerpt from Kathryn Mannix’s “Enough of Euphemisms”. You can read the full piece here.
