Memory mapping for the 30th anniversary

Do you remember Kidz Klub? When we staged Joseph? When church was cancelled for Prosecco and strawberries?

Do you remember when Pete and Mark Altrogge jammed together? When the teens held lock ins? When Bob almost set fire to the main hall with a mini heater?

Do you remember who the first couple was to get married in the church building? When we held the community fireworks display? When the Gap Team were here?

We will all have special memories of times in Christchurch where God has met us, where we’ve experienced his grace and care, and where fellowship has deepened our love of the gospel. So, whether you’ve been here for 30 years or 30 days, please send us your experiences of how God has faithfully sustained Christchurch.

We are especially looking for:
  • Handwritten memories of special events like baptisms, coming to know Jesus, or your part in serving the church.
  • Photos of the church building over the years, ministries you’re part of (current and past), gatherings or trips, or special events like baptisms, open mic nights or the Christmas Market.
  • Any flyers, newsletters, posters or invitations from Christchurch over the years.
  • Anything else you can contribute.

You can get these to us by Sunday 24th August via:
  • Email memories@christchurchnewport.co.uk
  • WhatsApp to Jo Black on 07738788145
  • Hard copies of photos or flyers etc can be left in a box on the admin desk in a sealed, named envelope. These will be scanned and given back to you in a few weeks’ time.

Please dig out your photos for this trip down memory lane showing the golden thread of God’s goodness to us over the last 30 years.

Thank you!
