EPIC: Faith, Fun and Friendship
Every other Friday evening, something exciting happens at Christchurch… EPIC!
EPIC runs fortnightly and is specially for children in Years 3–6. Each week brings a completely different theme — from a Chocolate Factory extravaganza to high-energy dance nights, to swashbuckling pirates adventures.
Chocolate Factory Week
One recent favourite was our Chocolate Factory night! This included:
- A chocolate-themed quiz (which revealed some surprisingly serious chocolate knowledge!)
- The legendary chocolate game that many of us remember from our own childhoods — the one where you roll a dice again and again until you get a six, then quickly put on a hat, scarf and gloves before attempting to cut up and eat a bar of chocolate using only a knife and fork… while everyone else is still rolling! The chaos, the cheering, the frantic unwrapping — it’s a classic for a reason! ?
- Making their own delicious chocolate truffles to take home and enjoy, which was a real highlight
- There were plenty of very chocolatey faces by the end of the evening — adults included!

The children who attend — that they would clearly understand the gospel
The “little helpers” who come early to set up and pray — that their servant hearts would continue to grow.
