Whether you're new to this church, new to the 'Port, or even new to Christ, we're so glad you've found us. Our desire is to be a church together, to make Christ known to all. If we can serve you in any way, reach out. We'd love to connect.
Christians believe that God is love and that we can know this love for ourselves.
Watch this video and hear the good news for yourself. If you've been moved to find out more, please get in touch- we'd love to hear from you and talk to you further on our next Christianity Explored course.
OUR PODCASTS
Every week we produce a short podcast discussing the latest sermon on our 'We Are Christchurch' podcast. You can also listen to a recording of the latest sermon on our 'Christchurch Sermons' podcast.
Our Sunday morning gatherings begin at 10:30am and last until midday.
Can I bring my children?
We provide free childcare and age-appropriate Bible teaching for children all the way up to year 9 during our gathering.
How should I dress?
Not in a suit! There's nothing wrong with dressing up, but don’t do it on our account. So long as you’re comfortable, we’re happy.
What are the sermons like?
We sing about Jesus, hear him speak to us as the Bible is read and taught, remember his death for us as we share communion and celebrate as new believers are baptised. Basically, they’re all about Jesus.
Definitely not. We will never ask our visitors to stand, say or do anything that makes them uncomfortable. We’d hope that someone would introduce themselves to you, but if that doesn’t happen and you’d like to connect, stop by the welcome corner to say hi.
Will I be pressured to give money?
Our church is supported by our members’ generous giving. Week to week we’ll pray and thank God for his provision (which is mostly done online). We will never ask our visitors to contribute.
Christchurch & Union Training programme
We desire to play our part in the training and development of emerging church leaders and workers. It is hoped that this partnership with Union will equip the next generation to love, serve and lead within the local church (through church planting, pastoring, preaching and other ministry areas).
