Monday night prayer. A testimony.

As a church, we gather once a month to pray together for our church, our city and the world. Here’s a testimony of that time from one of our elders, Alan Woods.

Last month (February), Heather and I were unable to attend the church prayer meeting because her 92 year old mum (Margaret) had just been admitted to hospital, where she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, undetected previously. At the prayer meeting led by Simon Williams, he asked that people prayed into the situation.

To cut a long story short, Margaret longed to be home with her Saviour. A few days after the prayer meeting, Pauline Newman shared with Heather a picture of God's hand reaching down to Margaret as she reached up her hand to take hold of his. On the morning before she died, her pastor visited and shared the same picture with the family. What an encouragement. Isn't God good?

The church prayed for us at the prayer meeting and God answered those prayers in a wonderful way. God is indeed good.
