Christchurch Kids – Moving Classes This September
 
As we approach the new school year, we’re getting ready for the annual Christchurch Kids class transitions! September is always an exciting time as children grow, learn, and step into new stages—and for some, that means moving into a new Sunday group on Sunday 7th September.
 
Our Groups
In Christchurch Kids, our classes are organised into groups, each spanning two school years:

Because each class spans two year groups, not every child will move up this year. Here’s how the transitions work...

Who Will Move Classes?
Children moving into the following school years will change groups:
Year 1
Year 3
Year 5

Who Will Stay in Their Current Class?
Children moving into the following school years will remain in their current group:
Year 2
Year 4
Year 6

Our amazing Christchurch Kids volunteers are already preparing to make each group feel like home, with age-appropriate teaching, fun activities, and plenty of space for every child to grow in their understanding of the gospel and explore what it means to follow Jesus.

What Happens Next?
Parents will be contacted over the summer to confirm which group their child will be in from September. If your child is currently in our Adventurers group (Nursery & Reception), we’ll also be in touch if they’re due to transition this year.
