Packing for the Young Adults Weekend Away?

This weekend is our Young Adults Weekend Away, The Spreading Flame. We'll be tracing the story of the church from 11 disciples to 3000 men and women on the day of Pentecost, asking what does it mean to be a Spirit-filled church on mission for Jesus today?

Here's a reminder of what to bring and how to prepare ahead of our time away together:

1. Arrival: Arrive any time from 6pm on Friday evening at Woodcroft Christian Centre, Chepstow NP16 7PZ. We will officially start things at 7pm. Make sure you have eaten dinner beforehand!!

2. Packing: No bedding is provided apart from a pillow so bring your own sleeping bag or bedding (duvet and duvet cover). Bring toiletries, towels, clothing, pyjamas, a coat, trainers (if you want to get outside during Saturday free time), your Bible, a notebook and a pen. No alcohol is permitted on site.

3. Read through Acts 1 - 8 beforehand, a few times if possible. If you'd prefer to watch a TV series that depicts this period of the early church, Testament is a great option. It's a modern-day retelling of the first 7 chapters.

4. Familiarise yourself with The Quiet Revival findings. Think about where have you witnessed the Quiet Revival? Why might this be happening?

If this is happening, how might we make the most of it in our personal life, in our friendship groups and in our church?
What changes should we be making as a church?

5. Come with your questions. A key focus of the weekend will be the Saturday evening where Andrew will be hosting a live Q+A with Lewis and Jenny Roderick.

We'll take every question seriously and all questions will remain anonymous. We'd very much like to focus on questions relating to the Holy Spirit and the church's mission.

You don't need to wait until the weekend, you can submit a question now!
