The Aim: To remember all the amazing things God has done
The people of Israel are singing a song of worship to God after their triumphant escape from
Egypt. The song talks about the character of God, his strength and his awesome power, and
celebrates their victory. Then it is back to reality with a bump. All the amazing things God
has done for the people are forgotten as they travel around the desert searching for water. Are
we as quick to forget God’s awesomeness?
Passage: Exodus 15
Questions that would be good to discuss and that we tackled some of in the session:
Parents, we would encourage you to ask about what has gone in the Landing sessions, and to pray for your teen that they would know God. Please be willing and active in discussion with them about where their relationship stands with God, and what they have learned about on a Sunday. Continue the conversation at home, build that space so that they feel they can ask questions of you about God.
If you are wishing for support for discussions and also other material etc please email into the office and add the subject of the message "Landing".
Thanks The Landing Team

Questions that would be good to discuss and that we tackled some of in the session:
- How we celebrate. What do we do? In what ways do we share our joy and excitement with others?
- How does the idea of God as a warrior fit with your understanding of God?
- Do you believe that God offers unfailing love (v 13)? Why?
- Do you find it surprising that the people of Israel forget the work of God so quickly?
- Do you forget the work of God in your life? What can you do to try and avoid this?
