Comebacks
On either side of Easter, we’re delighted to welcome two old friends as they come to preach God’s word to us.
On March 24 Joel Virgo is returning to us. Joel is married to Kate, a father of five and a leader within the New Frontiers movement.
Although it’s barely 6 months since he last visited, it was so good we couldn’t wait to have him back (if you missed his message from Matthew 8, you missed out! Take a listen over on our sermons page).
Then a mere two weeks later on April 7, we’re thrilled to receive Christopher Ash as he returns to preach the letter of Jude.
Christopher is a preacher, teacher, and writer. Since 2015 he has served as Writer-in-Residence at Tyndale House, Cambridge. Prior to this he served as Director of the Proclamation Trust’s Cornhill Training Course (where he had the dubious joy of teaching Lewis…). As Writer-in-Residence, Christopher hopes to encourage younger scholars to grow in faithful loving loyalty to Jesus, and to use their gifts to serve the church of Christ.
Deeply pastoral, refreshingly straightforward and always thoroughly biblical, his writings worth searching out (keep an eye out on the blog in the coming weeks - the Good Book Company have agreed to give us a discount code for Christopher’s back catalogue!) He and his wife Carolyn have been entrusted with three sons and a daughter (all now grown up) and nine grandchildren. They belong to St. Andrew the Great church.
